Wow! The Babies are going FAST!

Only 5 days from the time they arrived, 2 of the foster mustangs get adopted!

Eric & his family picked up a yearling they adopted from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and decided they wanted another one, so they came by SFF and picked up the one named "Ed" and took him to Wisconsin. Renaming him "Ranger", he and his buddy, "Apache" are doing well in their new home.

***

That same day Kari and her mom came out and adopted "Sabio" and renamed him "Tornado". Kari is boarding here at SFF and has been out almost daily to play with her new friend.

***

A few days later Nina finally got the go-ahead from her husband and she was the proud owner of "Dusty Rose". She had fallen in love with her from the first time she saw her. Dusty Rose will be boarded here until Nina & Ivin can get their fencing ready.

***

That same day Heather also received the go light from her husband Chris, and she took the last of the horses from St. Mary's they called "Charmont", and named him "Cross of Liberty". Liberty will also be a permanent boarder here.

***

The next day Millie & Don came out to see about adopting the strawberry roan, but she was already adopted. After seeing the gray colt they decided to adopt him. He will stay for a while and then go home to join Gracie & Cody...2 mustangs they adopted here in 2006.

Good Times!

With the warmer weather, all the boarders are having a great time playing with their babies...

Becky is doing a great job with Smokey & Aladdin...

***

Melissa is beginning to ride Renegade...

***

Rissa is riding Breezy and letting her sister and niece enjoy rides as well.

***

Susan is working with Skye, and is getting Rowdy ready for riding while her Mom, Gladys is enjoying her adoptee, Cloud...

Some Horses Have Come In...

Shaun & Tiffany bought a new horse named "Nifty"...

Rissa has also leased Classy and brought her back here to ride...

And Jo Ann brought Bandit here for some training...

and Jenny, Autumn & India put in some fencing and took Sugar & Tamsin home.

I love it when people achieve the dream of having their horses in their back yard, but we will sure miss them!

Yearling Mustangs Have Arrived at SFF!

We have 7 new mustangs ready for adoption! We had 4 delivered from the Ewing facility...2 fillies...and 2 colts.

We were so excited! They are so beautiful (except for the winter fuzz!), and really friendly! It isn't going to take long to gentle these babies!

Just after we unloaded the 4 new yearlings we found out that we could foster the 3 unadopted colts that the students from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College had worked with! Off we went to pick them up...they are already gentled, leadable, lunging, trailer loading, & have had baths & farrier work!

Better get your name in fast for these 7 yearlings! They will go fast!

Caleb's Birthday

Our grandson, Caleb, just turned 1 year old! We had a pony party and did lots of fun things...

SFF has a New Dog!

(Jet)                                                    (Radar Max)                                                                (Shylo)

Last fall when deer season began, Jet & Shylo disappeared along with one of the neighbor's dogs, so we could only assume they met the same fate as another neighbor's dog that was found shot on their back porch. I really don't understand why someone thinks it is great sport to shoot people's pets. We miss them very much!

Right before Christmas, Kelly asked if we needed a dog (not knowing ours were gone). We took her up on her offer and Max came the first week in January. Since we have a horse named Max, we decided to change his name to Radar Max and call him "Radar".

Kelly moves to North Carolina

Kelly and her family moved to North Carolina the first week of January. We sure miss them and wish them the best! What about RC? Click on "past events", and then the "2007" button!

2008

The first of the year started out with snow...

but the horses didn't seem to mind as long as they had hay to munch!
