Hope Reins at Spirit of
Freedom Farm!
"For I know the plans I have for
you", declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to
give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
Our Mission Statement
At Hope Reins our mission as a not for profit organization is
to create an environment that will provide hope and encouragement to those in
need by offering them the chance to experience the care and concern of a mentor
and the unconditional love of a horse.
We believe that strong, loving relationships are a necessary
ingredient of a contented heart. We believe children and adults alike thrive
simply by receiving acceptance and reassurance that they are an important part
of the community.
We hope to help others gain self confidence and a sense of
accomplishment by giving them an opportunity to develop a relationship with and
care for a Hope Reins horse. Each person's horse experience will be personally
tailored to fit his or her need with the attention of a qualified Hope Reins
volunteer at all times.
We want to help children and adults develop leadership skills,
horsemanship skills and an understanding of the importance of community
contribution. Above all we want them to learn that love, faith and hope is
available under any circumstances.

Samantha & Max
Hope Reins began as a vision in the minds of Jane & Donna.
As they met and began planning, the vision grew to become a reality. With the
donation of "Max" by Samantha (who was going into the mission field),
things began happening even faster than anyone imagined.

Postings past this point will be in
reverse order with most current postings on top.

Hope has a Passenger!

We weren't sure if Hope was ridable, but Shelly decided to try
her out. Since then others have ridden her also, and she has done very well.

Another Horse for Hope Reins
Soon after Max came the Humane shelter called for a horse to
be rescued.

Hope
She had been abandoned, but was still in very good condition.
We named her "Hope" and planned to use her for the ministry. Hope was
very afraid and we still aren't sure if she will work for the ministry, or if we
will sell her and use the much needed money for Hope Reins. She
is a beautiful horse, and almost looks purple at times, other times orange, and
sometimes burgundy...I guess she is just a horse of a different color!
A very short time later the Humane shelter called again for
another rescue. This was a temporary and would soon be picked up and paid for by
his owner. This money would go to help pay for feeding Max & Hope...blessing
after blessing came pouring in.
