MUSTANG BOARDING CONTRACT
For
Spirit of Freedom Farm (SFF)
This contract is made between
(horse boarder) and Jane Loughmiller (SFF owner) on
2008. Contract changes by SFF owner, and adding or removing of
horses by horse boarder require a 1 week notice unless arranged otherwise with
SFF owner. All fees and expenses must be paid before horses can be removed from
premises.
Base
price will be $200.00 per horse for a 3-week quarantine period.
Payment will be due up front unless arranged otherwise with SFF owner*.
*After
3 weeks regular or temporary boarding contract must be signed or horses must be
removed. Non-payment will release horses back to BLM for re-adoption.
All fees and expenses must be paid before horses can be removed from
premises.
Base Price includes:
1.
Corral
2.
Grass
Hay* (as needed)
3.
Grain*
(oats or sweet feed)
4.
Salt*
(throughout year)
5.
Round
pen/arena use. (Can be limited by SFF owner due
to misuse or other circumstances)
6.
Tack
room use. (Can be limited by SFF owner due
to misuse or other circumstances)
7.
Break
room use. (Can be limited by SFF owner due
to misuse or other circumstances)
* The amount of feed provided is
dependent on the needs of the individual horse. This amount will be
decided between the horse boarder and SFF owner.
All special diets and/or supplements required by horse boarder will be at
boarders’ expense.
Extras available:
(Payment of any extras will be made prior to carrying out) Times are up to SFF
owner.

Gentling/Training/Lessons-
Prices may vary.
· All
medical records provided will be kept on file. Worming, farrier and vet checks
are responsibility of horse boarder and must be kept current and recorded on
file. Horse boarder must make &
be present for all appointments unless arranged otherwise with SFF owner.
All veterinarian charges and medical supplies are at horse boarders’
expense.
· In
emergency situations, SFF owner is authorized to proceed with treatment and/or
call in a veterinarian of SFF owners’ choice if horse boarder’s vet cannot
be reached.

· In case
of escape, horse boarder will be responsible for capture and any resulting
expenses incurred (for example, recapture by BLM).
· Please
remember these horses are wild and afraid and can be dangerous. Use extreme
caution when handling them.
· SFF
owner is authorized to move horses around facility for any reason (at no charge
to horse boarder). Boarders will not be allowed to move other peoples horses
without the consent of the horses’ owner and SFF owner.
· Please
do not feed (including treats) or handle someone else’s horse without
permission.
· SFF
owner is authorized to provide reasonable discipline for horse(s) as needed.
·
Absolutely NO abuse will be tolerated.
· SFF
owner is not responsible for death or injuries of horses, boarders or guests.
· Children
under 12 must have adult supervision at all times.
· SFF
owner is not responsible for lost, damaged or misplaced tack & equipment.
Due to the fact that other boarders’ things are here and are not the property
of SFF, please do not use or abuse anything that is not yours unless given
permission.
· Smoking
is permitted outside of buildings only. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING inside any
building or near the fuel tanks.
· Due to
changing and updating the facility; temporary arrangements; new boarders; etc.,
SFF owner reserves the right to make changes without prior permission from
boarder in arrangements of fencing, placement of horses, and any other changes
that may be required as determined by SFF owner.
· Please
be courteous at all times and clean up after you and your horse. Thank you.
